Program title : Science meets Dharma- Dialogue
Science meets Dharma or SmD is organizing ten days program entitled "Science meets Dharma-Dialogue" at The Dalai Lama Institute for Higher Education, Bangaluru, between 7-16, November 2011. The objective of the program is to convey a dialogue between Buddhist practitioners and scientists. The program is designed to understand various ‘conflicts’ or ‘complimentary’ between Buddhism and science. Ten days program will be attended by western scientists and Geshes from monastries. There will be presentations from both sides followed by open discussion. The program’s schedule and the presenters and their topics will be on our webpage for download.
This program is open to all interested one. One can register to this program as ‘observer’ or ‘participant’. There is no registeration citeria for a observer. Whereas the participant should be a student or professional with atleast master in science degree to participate as a translator cum mediator between western scientists and Geshes. Both observers and participants will be given free occomodation with meals. Regarding the travel allowance, only bus charges will be reimbursed for participants only.
The interested candidate must register for the program latest by 03 October 2011.
