The board members of Tibetan Scientific Society are pleased to invite applications for research project grant for eligible Tibetans. The awards provide up to Rupees 10,000 to cover the costs associated with the student’s project work. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and an applicant cannot submit more than one application. The selected candidates must finish the project by November, submit the final report and present their work at the Tibetan Science Conclave-IV to be held in Delhi in December, 2016.
Important Deadlines:
- Applications must be submitted no later than June, 20, 2016.
- Final project report must be submitted no later than November, 30, 2016.
Eligibility:
- Any Tibetan who have graduated or is pursuing post-graduate studies in science-related programs can apply.
- Exceptional project proposals from undergraduate students in science-related programs may also be considered.
Disbursement of Funds:
- The selected grant recipients will be notified by July, 1, 2016.
- Funds must be used within the period from the award date until the final project submission date.
- Travel allowances to get to the conclave venue and accommodation allowances will be provided for the grant recipient.
- Only one project grant may be awarded per applicant.
